１９８８年、香港のキャセイ航空に客室乗務員として入社。結婚を機に退社し、英国に渡り、トヨタUKで通訳として務めた後、日本とイギリス間での商業取引サポートエージェントを８年運営する。
その後、子育てをしながら大学で法律を、大学院では都市計画を学び、都市計画プラナーとして、世界遺産であるバース市とその周辺を管理する自治体に就職。１７年間勤めた自治体では、住宅問題、環境問題、地域活性化、そして持続可能な開発方針に基づいた総合的な戦略都市計画方針を立てるプロジェクトに携わる。
２人の息子を育てる上で得たイギリスの学校制度の知識を活かし、日本の青少年が、有意義な留学体験ができるように、少しでもサポートしたいという願いでBlue and Green を設立。

In 1988, she joined Cathay Airways in Hong Kong as a flight attendant. After working in the UK as an interpreter at Toyota UK, she started a company supporting commercial transactions between Japan and the UK for eight years.
Whilst raising her children, she studied Law at university followed by a Masters Degree in Urban Planning. As a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, she worked in local government with Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its surroundings. In her 17 years with the Council, she prepared comprehensive strategic planning policies responding to Sustainable Development Goals.
With knowledge of the UK and the British school system gained while raising two sons, she established Blue and Green to encourage and support Japanese students and young people towards a meaningful overseas experience.
